So, the big news from yesterday was that I met this guy:
This is me and Bryan Lee O’Malley, creator of Scott Pilgrim, looking awkward. I went over to the Book Festival in Charlotte Square Gardens to see him in conversation about his new graphic novel, Seconds. (And in the process, completed one of my festival resolutions to see something outside the Fringe.) He was very charming and funny during the discussion which carried on despite the tent we were in being buffeted by wind and rain.
After the hour discussion, I bought copies of the books and queued for about fifty minutes to get them signed.
I spent the evening back at Pollock Halls. I watched a Robin Williams movie, The Birdcage, and read Seconds, which is lovely.
I am getting quite insular as the festival goes on. I need to get out more.
