REVIEW: Shaolin Warriors

They punched! They kicked! They jumped about! The warriors, all dressed in orange robes, put on a spectacular tour-de-force of martial art mastery, from drunken-style to weaponry to hand-to-hand combat, and they made it look effortless.

But it certainly wasn’t easy, as demonstrated in a hilarious section where two men from the audience copied the warriors’ moves and were left flailing about good-naturedly.

The opening home-made video of a shaolin warrior protecting a kid from some hoodlums was confusingly low-rent. But once we got into the show itself, our expectations were exceeded with an awe-inspiring display of skill.
