Terry Alderton review

Terry Alderton

Terry Alderton’s hour show featured the slapstick physicality of Lee Evans to the highbrow intensity of Stewart Lee and the fun and puns of Tim Vine. A whirlwind of impressions, songs and voices, Terry mixed clever ideas with observations with broader appeal. He frequently turned his back to the audience and used a monster voice to comment on his own behaviour. He dissected his recent appearance on the Michael McIntyre Roadshow, told stories about freaking out Australians with his impression of an air raid warning siren, and ended with a heartfelt speech about finally finding an audience after years of “babysteps”. Before the monster voice returned to put him in his place… Mad, brilliant fun.
